How does Valentines day teach children to be promiscuous?
July 16th, 2010 | by admin |
My brother’s school is not doing Valentines Day activities anymore because one dumb parents says it teaches children to be sexually active. He’s in Kindergarden.
That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, and I think it is robbing the kids of some simple holiday fun. How stupid it is for that parent to think that cutting out red paper Cupids and eating some heart shaped cookies will teach anyone anything about the birds and the bees, let alone encourage promiscuity.
Really very sad.

People like that are alarmists with their minds deep in the gutter. They see sex in everything when it’s not really there. The only implied sexual thing I have seen related to Valentine’s day are those ky jelly commercials.

Yeah, they are doing that at the Elementary levels here too…its very dumb, but when a parent complains the school board feels obligated to step in and make it all better….whats really happening is that "Grown-ups" are trying to rip the childhood out from underneath them.
And if theis parent was so against Valentines day, she should be against other holidays as well, that can teach kids exactly the same thing. Im sure she didnt step in on Fat Tuesday and say it tought her child how to be a drunk? Its just a stupid school rule and the lady is being ridiculous.

Well that’s just dumb. Kids love role play and play acting bf and gf leads to good social skills. It doesn’t mean kids will be playing hokey pokey or hanky panky as well.

That is just plain silly. How on Earth is kindergarten class valentines day teaching kids to be promiscuous? Do they really think that a five year old is going to be thinking about sex?
