New relationship on valentines day gifts?

I’ve been dating this guy about a week and I don’t know if I should just get him a card or something for Valentines Day. I really like him but i don’t want to overdo it too. So basically what should I get him for v-day?


Go ahead and get him a card if you want to but select one carefully. Valentine’s Day cards are generally all about how much one person loves another and after just a week, this could scare the guy off. You didn’t mention how old you or he is so I don’t know but find a very low-key Valentine’s Day card and write somethin’ sweet in it. Maybe even a blank one inside? You can find them in any card shops. They have groovy covers but the inside is blank so that you can write what you want.

    I know some people that just find anybody to be with close to v-day just to get a present. For that reason I would not go to a lot of trouble or spend a whole lot of money until you have been together longer. Also, you don’t want to look desperate. Get him something maybe but like I said not real expensive.
