Valentines gifts?

Ive been dating this guy for a month and a half now and i want to get him something for Valentines Day but i dont know what to get him …something not to expensive but not cheap either..what are some good ideas?
A nice date is always the best present for a guy. It can be a trip with you to somewhere he likes, or a nice dinner at a food place he likes (or you can make him a special dinner if you think he deserves it..). Don’t get him a toy or anything like that – what good is that? If you two split up, he likely won’t want to hang onto it anyway (unless it’s something like a 200" plasma TV, in which case he might learn to live with it).

1) gift like earings
2) candy
3) 1 dozen roses
4) chinese take-out
